The Backsplash was designed in a light / dark checkerboard pattern. Every square in the grid is 9x9". Each artist designed one of the 2x2 areas. The mirror over the sink was done by me, and we all shared the pieces around the mirror.
I glazed the soap dish at a local “paint your own” pottery place. The soap dish says “KEEP IT CLEAN”, which has a double meaning at a radio station (get it?)
We took our plywood pieces home. Using our prepped materials (broken tile, dishes, little thingies) we attached the pieces using mastic. Phil helped attach the pieces to the wall, using screws at the stud points, then we grouted it.
